Why it is that whenever anyone raises a point that indicates that we do not understand your deeper thinking i.e. why have you done that / not done that, you take it so badly and go all defensive?
I try to defend my team as best I can.

What are your views on bungs? As a former agent he must have views from both sides of the fence.
This just can’t happen, it is very disappointing when it does. It wouldnever happen here.

Is there a reason for McAlliskey and Lloyd's failure to progress
Lloyd did well but never made that further step. He is struggling to get a team place where he is now. McCalisksy did well but then stood still as many young players coming through do. I have every confidence in him to do a job for me in the next couple of years.

Early in the season he was keen to stress the strength in depth of the squad, yet he has not given Young any serious experience and Hardy has not even made the bench.
They are not quite ready for the first team yet. They have done an excellent job in the reserves for me and getting closer.

How have you managed to motivate an unusually large contingent of youth players into quickly turning into first team players.
It was quite easy, although we had a lot of youngsters we had some older senior players who helped a lot. When they first started coming into the team we had such as Sodje and Yates and Boothy. They taught them the value of good attitude and habits.

Could you please ask Peter if there's any truth in the rumour that if Town don't make it in the play-offs, he will resign and become Hartlepool’s new manager with Gordon Watson as assistant.

Given our good gates, cup run and previous sale of Stead, is money available for squad stengthening?
Whichever division we end up in I will have a budget to keep to. We will never go back to spending what the club doesn’t have as happened a few seasons ago.

Win or lose in the play offs where will he be looking to strengthen the squad over the summer?
I am always looking to strengthen the squad, there will be one or two out and one or two new faces in.

What are the chances of hanging on to David Graham?
It will probably depend on which division we end up in. I wouldn’t rule it out if we stayed in the first but.

How are you going to sort out the goal keeping problem. Quite rightly you has been loyal to Rabs and Senior but do you think we need to strengthen here.
It will all be down to finances. All goalkeepers make mistakes. Overall I am very pleased with them both. We do need to keep more clean sheets

What has he learnt this season?
This has been a big season . Since I came in we have had one promotion and now the playoffs again. At a vital stage we could have done better, but we now have the chance to progress. I have learnt yet again that there is a lot of pressure involved!

Did you apply for the England job?
No!

We have been very inconsistent and it can't be a coincidence that our inconsistency extends to performing worse against teams in the bottom half of the table. Do you really think that the squad is big enough and strong enough? Or do you simply toe the party line on the use of the windfall income that the Club has received?
We have been strong enough to remain in the top five all season!

If you were given the chance to go back & change one thing this season, what would it have been?
My tie for the Chelsea Game (smiling)

There were rumours that you were watching a Dutch striker. Do Huddersfield ever send scouts abroad looking for players? Please dont spend £1 million on George Donis though.
No we don’t and this was rubbish.

How close do you think James Hand is on breaking through to the 1st team?
He has done very well but is still very young. As all young players do he needs to set out goals for himself.

Would you ever consider re - signing Jon Stead if Huddersfield made the championship? But i am aware his wage demands would be higher.
I love Jon Stead as a player , his attitude and his talent. Who knows if we could afford him in the future.

Who does Peter Jackson think the player of the year for League One is this season?
Dans from Colchester. Any midfielder who can score fourteen or fifteen goals in a season from that position is amazing.

If Town get promoted this season, roughly how many players do you think we would need to bring in to bolster the squad?
The main thing is to get promotion first. I have some players in mind but I am keeping them to myself.

Will you be studying for any coaching badges any time soon?
I have got them all!

Quite obviously Peter Jackson is the best dressed man in Huddersfield, possibly the world - but who has the worst dress sense at Town?
Jonathon Worthington closely followed by Boothy!

Peter is obviously getting the players geared up (and himself) for the playoffs. He kindly still did this interview with me despite having a throat infection. We would be hard pushed to find anyone more committed to managing Huddersfield Town and it’s about time some fans realised that.
