A hard fought draw against the usual big, tough Brentford side. At the moment this looks like a season of consolidation – we lack that touch of class needed to make us serious promotion contenders.

The jury is out on Paul Rachubka - two great saves but some dodgy handling and he really should have cut out the cross that let to the goal. Sterling performances by Clarke and Holdsworth but Brandon and Mendes looked off-colour.

Booth injured himself in training on Saturday and failed a pre-match fitness test otherwise he would have been warming the bench. Jacko decided that Lloyd needed a rest.

Not a great performance by the ref who never got to grips with the Bees tactics.
