Its official - Town ordered not to gain Automatic promotion:

Well it must be! How else can explain the last two home games. It was like identical comedy sketches and we changed a few of the actors

What on earth went on today? Yes the ref was bloody awful and people will point to two major decisions, both resulting on goals. Its not that however which concerns me the most, its Town eagerness to press the self destruct button.

Sat cruising at 1-0 again, a nice early goal to surely settle the nerves Town just as they did against Chesterfield seems to stop playing any football and get all nervous. Passes started going astray, sloppy clearances, no width and from looking like they meant business, all we did was look very poor and give our guests the incentive to get forward and attack us, that they did and started to believe rather than take hiding they were perhaps thinking of!

I know people are going to say stop moaning and if we'd have been offered the playoffs at the start of the season, we'd have probably taken them, but they fact is, Automatic promotion was there for the taking and we blew it in spectacular style. For the team with the best home record, all this supposed talent at its disposal, we were utter shite again!

One bad performance in the 1st leg of the play offs and the whole season is done and dusted, while the players jet off for an early holiday, I don't want to be left here reflecting on what might have been..

Do you?
