Unfortunately we managed to gift wrap the game today for Barnsley in the shoddy defending that lead to both goals.

Sodje wasnt marking Conlon for the first goal and Gray cant have shouted "MY BALL" or why else would Mirfin have headed it towards where he thought Gray was situated.

Despite much huffin and puffin we rarely threatend to score ,however the ref was an idiot. the worst i have seen this season. How Pawel Abbot was not given a penalty i dont know and a matter of seconds later Mendes was blatantly shoved off the ball on the edge of the box, again the ref ignored it.

Akpo Sodje came on but got a telling off from Jacko for shooting from too far out. Mendes put another shot just wide(when will he put one in?)...just not our day..

To cap it all the game is lost and Sodje gets himself sent off for a flailing elbow incident. In the week Jacko said our discipline has improved...how ironic..

We sit in 10th spot. Still good progress. I had to ignore 2 calls from Barnsley work colleagues as i left the stadium but i am sure we can bounce back . If we are in 10th spot at new year i think we can push for a sneaky play off spot.

A draw at Bristol next week will do me and then its Paul Merson's Walsall in a home game we need to win.
